To provide our services, we collect information that you provide directly to us:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and organization details when you sign up.
  • Integration Data: When you connect Jira or Linear, we access ticket metadata (titles, descriptions, status) required to generate your public roadmap. We do not store your entire internal database.
  • Public Roadmap Content: Any narratives, images, or videos you explicitly choose to publish on your public portal.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

  • To operate and maintain the PublicLayer platform.
  • To enable AI-powered "Spec-to-Story" generation by processing your internal ticket metadata.
  • To personalize your experience and provide customer support.
  • To ensure security and prevent unauthorized access to your organization's data.

4. The "Narrative Bridge" Security

PublicLayer is built on the principle that public roadmaps are not internal roadmaps. Our architecture ensures:

  • ✓Data Isolation: Your internal Jira/Linear tickets are never directly exposed to the public.
  • ✓Zero-Modify Access: We only request "Read" scopes from your integrations, meaning we cannot delete or alter your source data.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your data. We only share information with third-party services necessary for our operations:

  • Supabase: For secure database storage and authentication.
  • Google Gemini: To power our AI narrative engine (data is processed but not used for model training).
  • Resend: For transactional email delivery.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time through your organization settings. If you disconnect an integration, all cached metadata from that source is permanently purged from our systems.
